Juniors are not permitted to start a round on the main course after 5:00pm on weekdays, or before 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays unless playing with an adult member. Safety – no player should play until the players in front are out of range Safety - Be aware of people around you when taking practice swings Safety - Don’t take a practice swing towards someone – you may hit a small stone etc towards them Safety - Allow the player who has just tee'd off to move away from the tee before approaching it (the player may take an additional swing after hitting the ball and this might hit you somewhere very painful!) Care of the course – replace all divots Courtesy - Mark your cards at the next tee not at the green Courtesy - Be quiet when anyone is playing a shot Courtesy - Don’t allow your shadow to go over the line of someone’s putt
In the Clubhouse: Do NOT shout! Do NOT throw things at each other! Mobile phones can be switched on - but MUST be on vibrate or silent - they should NOT be used to play music out loud (they can be used with headphones). Do NOT put salt or vinegar in each other's drinks or hair! This annoys other members and guests and causes a lot of work for the bar-staff. Juniors who persist with this behaviour may be banned from the clubhouse and barred from competitions! Dress smartly – casual dress is fine but no track suits, football or rugby gear is allowed (in the club-house or on the course)
In and around the Pro-shop: Be aware of other members and guest and don't block access to the shop or crowd into the shop in groups! DO NOT swing or use golf clubs as swords or pokers on any of the paved areas! Be quiet and don’t move around when someone is teeing off from the Gent’s Medal Tees.
